CHATOU DISCREET TEENAGE HIDEAWAY BY H2O ARCHITECTES

Kids always have a fascination with getting out and away from the main house every now and again. Especially if we’re talking teenagers. One family decided to prepare for that step early on with their “Chatou.”

Designed with their son in mind, this multi-level hideout is a great space in the garden that is discreetly tucked away from it all. Designed by H2o Architectes, this French family refurbished the old building with four split levels completely lined in silver birch. This created the illusion of seamlessness and a larger, more visually integrated space. Built in “furniture” was also streamlined into the little building which still allowed the teen to sleep, live, study and wash all within the space.
